Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully, they apply whenever you book or attend an appointment with us.

Last updated: August 26th 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the services provided by TandemBalance ("we", "us", "our"), a partnership of Michael Morrissey and Mariam Rafeek Aziz Hanna trading under the registered business name TandemBalance, operating from 4 Swan’s Nest, Forge Hill Business Park, Pouladuff Road, Cork, T12 XC1Y. By booking an appointment or using our services, you ("you", "the client") agree to these Terms.

1. Our services

TandemBalance provides physiotherapy and sports massage services. Physiotherapy is delivered by a Chartered Physiotherapist. We will always act with reasonable skill and care, but the nature of physiotherapy and massage means we cannot guarantee any specific clinical outcome or result.

2. Booking and payment

Appointments are booked through our online booking system (Jane App) or by contacting us directly. Fees for each service are displayed at the time of booking and are paid on the day of your appointment. We do not take a deposit to book. After a missed or late-cancelled appointment we may ask for a deposit or a card on file before accepting further bookings. We may update our fees from time to time; the fee that applies is the one shown when you book.

3. Cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows

We operate a cancellation policy so that appointment times can be offered to other clients.

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. There is no charge.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, and missed appointments (“no-shows”), incur a €15 late cancellation fee. This is added to your account and settled at your next visit.

• Membership sessions are handled differently; see section 4.

We understand that emergencies happen and will always consider individual circumstances fairly.

4. Sports massage membership

Membership is a rolling monthly plan for sports massage only. It does not include physiotherapy. Two plans are offered: The Monthly, €50 per month for one 45-minute session, and The Weekly, €149 per month for four 45-minute sessions. On either plan a session can be extended to 60 minutes for an additional €20, paid on the day.

• Payment. Membership fees are charged monthly in advance through our booking system (Jane App). Your membership starts on the date of your first payment and renews on the same date each month.

• Sessions. Sessions must be used within the month they are issued. Unused sessions expire at the end of that month, do not roll over, and are not refundable or transferable to another person.

• Booking. You can hold up to four upcoming bookings at a time. Sessions are subject to availability, so booking ahead is encouraged.

• Moving a session. Give us at least 24 hours’ notice to move a booked session and it returns to your allowance. A session cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, counts as used and is deducted from that month’s allowance. Either way it is recorded as a no-show in our booking system, and your receipt will show that. The late cancellation fee in section 3 does not apply to membership sessions.

• Minimum stay and cancellation. The Monthly can be cancelled at any time. The Weekly has a two-month minimum stay, after which it can be cancelled at any time with no notice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and you can use any remaining sessions up to then. Partial months are not refunded. Both plans run for twelve monthly cycles; before yours ends we will be in touch about continuing, and founding members who continue keep the €149 rate.

• Founding places. The Weekly is limited to ten founding places at €149 per month. That price is held for as long as your membership stays active. If you cancel and later rejoin, the price at that time applies.

• Other discounts. Membership cannot be combined with corporate rates, partner offers or any other discount.

• Pausing. Memberships cannot be paused, but they can be cancelled and restarted at any time. Founding members of The Weekly may take one break of one month in any twelve-month period without losing the founding price. Any longer or more frequent break ends the founding place, and the price at the time of rejoining applies.

• Clinical suitability. Sections 6 and 7 apply to every membership session. If we decline or shorten a session on clinical grounds, it is not deducted from your allowance.

• Changes. We may change the membership terms with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The founding-place price for The Weekly is not affected. If you do not wish to continue under the new terms, you can cancel before they take effect.

5. Late arrival

If you arrive late, we will do our best to see you, but your session may be shortened so that following appointments are not delayed. The full fee for the booked session still applies.

6. Your health information and consent

To treat you safely, we need accurate and complete information about your health, medical history, medications and any relevant conditions. You agree to provide this and to update us if it changes. Treatment will only proceed with your informed consent, and you may withdraw consent or stop a treatment at any time. We may decline to provide, or may modify, treatment where we consider it is not clinically appropriate, and may refer you to your GP or another professional where necessary.

7. Suitability and medical advice

Our services are not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from your GP or a medical specialist. If you have a medical condition or are unsure whether treatment is suitable for you, please consult your doctor before booking.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree to follow reasonable instructions and aftercare guidance given during your appointment, to tell us promptly of any adverse reaction, and to treat our staff and premises with respect.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any condition or outcome arising from information you did not disclose to us.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal and health data in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how it is used and protected.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@tandembalance.com or (021) 702 0265 so we can try to put it right.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking is the version that applies.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
